H-2A Compliance Assistance
Up to $1,500 per farm, per year
The federal H-2A temporary agricultural worker program is complex — requiring Department of Labor, USCIS, and State Department filings, ETA-9142A labor certifications, I-129 petitions, job orders, and housing inspections. Small farms rarely have the staff to manage it. The Foundation pays a qualified Farm Labor Contractor or attorney, chosen by the farmer from our published vendor list, to handle these steps so farms can hire legal, documented labor.

Worker Pre-Arrival Services
Up to $1,000 per farm, per year
We pay qualified recruitment and consular-preparation providers to recruit workers ethically in their home communities, assist with visa paperwork, prepare them for consular interviews, and deliver bilingual pre-departure orientation that includes workplace-rights education. The direct beneficiaries are the workers, who receive these services at no cost.

Worker Health Enrollment (ACA)
Uncapped — delivered by the Foundation
We deliver bilingual ACA Marketplace enrollment events directly on participating farms — eligibility, document collection, plan selection, and premium-tax-credit applications. Most H-2A workers qualify for $0-premium plans because of household-income thresholds. We walk each worker through the entire process, in English or Spanish.

Worker Safety Plan & Training
Up to $1,500 per farm, per year
We pay qualified safety-training vendors to write farm safety plans and deliver bilingual, OSHA-aligned on-farm training — heat-illness prevention, pesticide safety (Worker Protection Standard), equipment and ladder safety, and sanitation — with quarterly check-ins. Training is delivered to the workers, who receive certificates of completion.

Healthy Farm Starter Kit
Up to $1,500 per farm, per year
We bulk-purchase life-safety equipment — first-aid cabinets, smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, heat-illness response kits, bilingual emergency and pesticide-safety posters, eye-wash bottles, gloves, and reflective vests — and distribute it to participating farms at no cost, documented with a signed acknowledgment. This is our primary program.

Workers' Comp Affordability (Education)
Free — no Foundation dollars paid
The Foundation never pays workers' compensation premiums or broker fees. We simply share free, bilingual education that helps farms lower their own costs — class-code review, payroll documentation, experience-modification basics, and return-to-work planning — so farmers can negotiate a better premium with whichever carrier and broker they choose.
